Did anyone else bother to watch Season 3? I made the mistake of watching till the end and damn that ending was absolute ass. If you can even call it an ending. Finished it last week and I've been fuming about it since.

That series could have been amazing. There are soooo many books and hundreds of very entertaining game hours to use as source material and they couldn't make enough content for ten episodes? That's BS. Lauren Hissbitch should be fired for deliberately tanking the show. Andrzej Sapowski and CD Projekt Red should sue.

I cant fkin stand ciri, she made the show unwatchable for me. pig faced ugly biatch. rant over.

Oh my word, such a spoiled crybaby. And they made her so stupid too. So scared that she's in danger -> they're all in hiding -> does everything possible to attract attention 🤦‍♀️

And don't even get me started on the superior, all-powerful mages!

Yes, and I know they followed the storylines, but it's not like they didn't make changes so why not change something that will actually improve the story?
Just asking, because she's a bit of a chop in the games too.

I enjoyed parts of Season 3, but it's definitely a let down. They got rid of the one person on the team who seems to really care about the source material, so now we get Dollar Tree Thor instead, who I'm sure will do an absolutely mediocre job and further resign the show to the annals of history.

Pity, because I love the universe and all that Andrej did.

Oh yeah she definitely is, they got that part right.

There were some great parts - some of the monster fight scenes, the musical numbers are always done fantastically - but the big scenes that were meant to be epic and climactic were terrible. Everything that went down at Aretuza was not done well. The completely irrational way everything progressed, the dialogue, the awkward character interactions, it was just awful.

Yes, it's really sad because this could have been the next GoT. It had all the ingredients for a truly epic show.

GoT also fucked out in the end. So not surprised with how this season ended.

Maybe (huge maybe) Wish.com Thor will be decent. (Yes, I know It's actually how Geralt progresses/evolves in the game) but meh, Cavill is the best Witcher.

Okay, maybe not the best example XD

If they stick to the source material, it could be decent. That's a big if though. I have so much respect for Cavill for sticking to his guns and fighting to stay true to the material at the cost of losing the role. I know he doesn't need the money but a lot of actors and actresses would have caved just to stay on good terms with the production team and company. I haven't seen Liam Hemsworth in an action role (don't know if Hunger Games counts) but he's an okay actor. Maybe even a bit underrated.

I saw him in some action role where he needs money to save his wife from pneumonia or something, I forget.

He really isn't great. I also doubt his ability to really do the physicality of the role justice, and he's like 12 years old. It doesn't bode well.

That doesn't sound promising.

Who would you cast if you could choose? Besides Henry Cavill, I think Hugh Jackman would have made a great Geralt, but he probably wouldn't be interested in a tv role. Lee Pace maybe. Or Luke Goss, he did his own stunts in Hellboy II, he could definitely handle the physical aspects.

I haven't even watched Season 1 (none of GoT either).

Does the Cavil run have a proper ending?
Cause I prefer watching shows that are completed with good endings

It does have a complete ending, yes. Whether or not you'll like it, who can say.

Only reason I bothered continuing watching that series is because my wife watches it. And she only watches it for Henry Cavill. She believes his the only person who was cast correctly for the series especially since Geralt is one of her video game crushes. So I doubt we will be continuing that series.

Mads Mikkelson

I was going to comment that I'm not that acquainted with his work, but looking at his filmography I actually am, I just didn't put it together that it was the same actor in all those roles! With the roles he's played and his background, he'd be perfect for it. Did you know he used to be a gymnast?

Anya Chalotra has done quite well as Yennefer. She doesn't fit the character model exactly and she's perhaps a bit young, but I think she's managed to carry it off. Not to mention she has great chemistry with Henry Cavill.

A lot of the supporting cast, while not fitting the exact characters in the games were very convincing in the roles, or just downright entertaining to watch. Tissaia, Dijkstra, Sabrina Glevissig, Cahir and Fringilla stole the show in the parts where they had decent scripts.

I really enjoyed it tbh. The writers fixed their Season 1 mishap that everyone was complaining about with regards to how strong Vilgefortz actually was.

I defo agree with you. One thing I hated about S1 was all the timeline jumps. That stuff gets confusing especially when they dont put something on the screen that tells u what date it is.

It was confusing at first. Took a bit of getting used to. They shouldn't have tried to use again in season 3. At least in season 1 they managed to convey how much time had passed, in season 3 especially the second part it all felt like events of the same day, just told out of order.

I've always thought Nilolaj Coster-Waldau (GOT Jamie Lannister) had the most similar look when comparing to the game.
I thoroughly enjoyed him in "Shot caller".

Haven't seen the movie, but looking at the cast list I think I need to! All the roles I've seen him in make him seem too polished for the role, not gruff and grizzled enough. Looking at stills from the movie though, that role definitely looks different. Was he convincing?

It's been a long while since I watched the movie but I remember the progression of who he is at the start to who he becomes at the end was a enjoyable and understandable journey.
