Supply chain clerk needed in Kyalami

Company: Food and Beverage Automation ( Engineering of packaging lines/machines mainly)
Hours: Mon - Fri 7:30 - 16:30 ( NO overtime expected from this role, if by chance it ever happens its paid with a smile)

Scope:

Placing and receiving orders daily for needs as communicated from other staff, ranging from nuts and bolts to IP67 enclosures of various sizes to VSD's from as small as .5Kw up to 30Kw.

Ordering system is based on pastel and comes from the 90's which is a bit of a challenge to learn but a new system will likely be implemented very soon.

Day to day is very routine simple things but things get busy as fuck from time to time ( Never in the same periods)

Some electrical/electronic/industry knowledge will be of great advantage.

Vibe: very typical office vibe, do your job and go live your life outside no one will expect insane hours or unreasonable shit from you( in this specific role) , you'll get paid well but the company doesn't do any of this pension BS.

13th check guaranteed ( prorata if you start in OCT for example)

I can not discuss super specific shit cause my boss needs to find a replacement for me( this is my current job ) so she'll likely take over soon after I have your details. PM if you want to discuss further.

I'm keen to get someone in here ASAP cause I would like to move on ( joining a different section so I'll definitely be here to train the person and available for advise or questions )

I almost want to say personality is the most important thing here, you need to fit in with who you'll be working with. That sounds veryt weird but once you get here It'll make a lot more sense

Closing for now.

Company wants to hold off until Dec so we can spend time and train the new person.

Will open again 2nd week of December

Reopening this:

I'd like to get people lined up next week possibly for interviews.

Scope has changed a little, All the same as above but electrical knowledge no longer needed or preferred.

This will become a basic admin role that will grow with time and likely into finance side of things if the candidate is here for longer than 4 years.

Excellent opportunity for a school leaver but my boss wants someone who has already got fairly strong administration skills ( being a bofin in excel will greatly count in your favour. I.e. being able to recon invoices, delivery notes, requests and purchase orders vs each other is the type of thing I'm trying to imply.

Placing and receiving orders is not the only thing you will be doing but its 70% - 80%, exports and cost comparisons are things getting very common for me ( you will be replacing me ) and help with estimations on jobs(this will only happen for you after a couple of years)

This is a very typical office/admin job ( honestly the vibes within the Office series is eerily similar, except we do cool shit like engineering not sell paper....)

I have no formal details about what the pay will be, not great not fucking extortion, my role here was to do this role while overseeing alot of this from the point of view of some with extensive electrical knowledge( didn't work out exactly as we planned and with me moving to a different section they have decided to just get a classical administration role back in here )

I have the CV's sent to me last year ready but looking for more as my boss will start going through them next week.

Note:

If she likes you during the interview then there will be a basic test of general admin skills, email etiquette, excel compiling of data blocks, quick scan to pickup a error on a invoice for example.

Best thing about this role is it pays more than what you would expect( I think) and the work/life balance is excellent.

Hours will be 08:00 - 16:30 Mon-Fri ( in Kyalami, Midrand )

Bump

Please flood me with CV's

This could be a very good opportunity for some studying part time, while in this role i've had lots of opportunities to study during quieter periods

Bump ( admin please haul my ass back if not allowed)

I have some strong candidates but all people closer to Kyalami will enjoy preference.

pls everyone :)
