gl finding these

not even the custom guys can make these because either 1) those 9-pin connectors is stupid expensive or 2) they just can't find them :(

ofc you may get lucky with someone who has a broken/spare unit who is willing to part with the cables

Could you not check the pin out and create your own cables using a multimeter and a Bible?

But in all seriousness, I'm receiving a Super Flower Leadex ii in the next couple of days, and I know there is 1 or two pcie cables missing. Unfortunately these cables are like hens teeth to find. But I know that the 9-pin molex connectors are available- so I intend on making my own cables.

Give me a shout and I'll keep you updated with progress.

you say that with such ease.

yes, at I think $20 A CONNECTOR excluding shipping, they definitely "are available", but definitely not as easy as you make it sound

why do you think these cables are "rare as hens teeth"?

so do keep us updated on these "available" connectors because I think a few people on here would love custom cables for their Super Flower PSUs

Absolutely! So I have discovered over the last 2 weeks- I've been looking quite hard for these plugs to no avail (in South Africa at least)- the ones that I have seen need to be imported which makes the whole process quite a schlep and as you state- a costly affair. The closest local solution I could find was THIS. Unfortunately, I can only rely on their website as I do not go to CPT as often anymore- but perhaps there could be something that may be a little closer to what we are looking for here.

This was in simple reference to the Super Flower/ EVGA 9-pin to PCI-E connectors.

Although sourcing the 9-pin plug might be a bit of a difficult thing to do. Looking at the pinouts on the actual 9-pin plug, not all the prongs are populated. In fact on the Leadex II: Only 7 of the 9 plugs are populated for the 8-Pin GPU, 8-Pin CPU, and the SATA connectors. If we wanted to MacGyver a solution using a 6+2 PCI-E plug, we could get this to work after careful study of the pinout and some trimming of the plastic casings (you will also need to replace the female crimp contacts.)

The above may be tedious and may not look like an OEM cable but it may be the solution for a lot of people out there.

Just trying to help out here bud.

R150 give or take for a connector

and then for the 12 and 18 pin:

crazy but maybe OP is tempted :D

@Krookedkat that one from Communica won't work at all as it isn't even correct pins

I saw those online aswell in my searches! It's crazy! It's like they know that they are the only ones that supply those plugs to the universe!

I wonder if there are any local custom psu cable guys that have access to these connectors here in RSA. I'll make a couple of calls in the week to find out.
