The newer Sony WH-1000XM3/4 are more sought after.
Ah, big sads. I only bought them because the reviews were mental, they seemed to be the bees knees at the time. After reading up now it seems they are better but not by much. Hopefully someone will come along and bite

I bought a set of these original models on a trip to the 'States in 2016 before they came to SA. I had seen a YouTube ad, tried them and was blown away, liked them better than B&W P7 (which were more plush and premium, but 20% pricier),
And they outshone the UE 6000's–that saved my life coming back from Honk Kong in 2015–in every department.
The Noise Cancelling was game changing, made air travel 10x more bearable.

They are not kak. But the new versions and the competition does sound marginally better, noise cancelling is improved. I am not motivated to upgrade. If your cans hold battery life, they are damn steal for R2K
