I hope I'm posting this in the right section and hopefully an audiophile or someone in the know can point me in the right direction.
I've recently upgraded from my Steelseries Arctis Pro + GameDAC (figured it was time to move onto dedicated headphones) and I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD660s (had them for about a week and am now contemplating returning them).
Now I have to say I am not really a big fan of how these things sound, I know a lot of people like the 6x0 line but for me these sound kind of muddy/muffled-ish and not quite right, even after messing around with EQ for hours.
My question is how much of a difference can I expect with the DT1990 in terms of sound? I don't think I like darker sounding headphones which is probably why I don't like the hd660s (I'm a bit of an audio noob tbh).
Does anyone have the Beyerdynamic DT1990? What is your opinion of them? My use case is mostly just playing games (Escape from tarkov, Overwatch and some more atmospheric story driven SP titles) with occasional netflix and youtube thrown in the mix.
My next question is where could I even buy a pair of these, I see a lot of places are out of stock and alternatively I'm not sure what online audio retailers that stock them I can trust, does anyone have experience in this regard? (I'm located in CPT)
