Voluntary liquidation isn't voluntary, it's a legal obligation once a business knows they cannot meet debt requirements, this was made at a meeting with my auditors on Monday.
With respect, it's entirely unlikely that the situation declined overnight to arrive at the point where you suddenly realised you cannot meet your debt obligations. You surely knew for some time that you were unlikely to pay those debts.

I was told to mail, but haven't heard anything in days. Not sure what the point was.
Wonder if it's worth running a chargeback with the bank?

Oh, some life.
I asked for timelines, and filled a chargeback with my bank - let's see what happens there.

But Scott's response from a few mins ago:
Not anytime soon unfortuantely, looking at least 6-8 weeks until the liquidation order is approved by the courts and then asset foreclosure and auction only after that.
Not holding my breath.

Empty and insincere words aside, what's happening with our battery warranties dude?
Some clarity from your side around it is better than none. I'm sitting right now with what I'm convinced is a problematic battery. Whats my recourse here?
I think you're warranty only covers having no guarantee anymore.

On a serious note if he requests you to send the problem battery back to him will you?

This is clearly by design and intent.
Scammer 101 tactics. Hope is a powerful emotion that buys a scammer a lot of time. \
Well, the same is happening with a lot of big suppliers too. Eg ellies. I bought my 2 inverters from them and it basically has no warranty now.

For batteries, I made sure I stuck with pylontech as it’s a much bigger investment when everyone was raving about other newer brands.

Guess a part of the problem was people jumped on the bandwagon and bought when prices were high, loadshedding stopped and prices fell, which means they need to sell at a loss.

Shouldn’t be the consumers problem… but that’s the reality.

Hope this somehow gets resolved for everyone affected. At least there isn’t loadshedding now though.

Absolutely not without a replacement battery first.
And he can't / won't because all his stock is being frozen.

If there is no warranty anymore on your battery you can just aswell start repairing it yourself. Most probably cells out of balance, or bms Soc drift.

@ScottulusMaximus mate your website is back up and seemingly trading. Whois says it's been updated on the 31st of Jan. What's going on here mate? You back on your feet?
Last seen was turned off on his profile last time I checked, I see it now says he was last seen Yesterday at 3:13 PM

I ended up getting a refund from FNB since I paid with my credit card.

Last comms I got from Scott was he was filing for liquidation (which I'm yet to find) and it would be 4-6 weeks for asset foreclosure and auction, that was on 13 August 2024.

Maybe because their creditor wrote me off, but I haven't heard anything since then. FNB did all the lifting here.

Did the deal happen from one of the carb threads ?
Why not open a bad deal ?

Look, without the right info, we can't (and should not) call him a scumbag. Once filed for liquidation, he has no control over what happens with the business. You always want someone to blame but in some cases there is nobody, because that's how the system works (or does not work, in some cases).

We'll need to hear from @ScottulusMaximus for an update here.

While I agree with this, his silence and absence is not exactly helping his case with the masses at all.
The decent thing to do would be to come forth and give an update, even more so if his site is back up and trading while he has supposedly filed for liquidation.

From MyBB:

"I emailed them about the liquidation and received the following reply:

Good Day

We have avoided liquidation and are operating under permission and supervision of secured creditors at this time.

Kind Regards
SSS Team"

So it seems they are trading?
