Afternoon gents

I was wondering has anyone tried this laptop?

I am in need of something that i can use for gaming and some after hours Work, I asked one of our Cellular branches to order 1 of these for stock and i want to take it on contract for R 999 per month. It gets like 15gb of data as well that i can use when i am on the road from time to time.

Seems like a pretty decent deal to me

Anyway I watched reviews of a similar spec laptop and it looks actually pretty bloody decent for the power it draws, when u enable Frame generation DLSS3 it seems to do really well. Sure not all titles support it but seems like even older titles can do 60fps on average or more.

with the low power draw I atleast know when i am gaming in loadshedding it wont hammer my backup power as all i have is a 2kw inverter with 2 150Ah batteries.

but info on the internet is a bit limited on this model so was just wondering does anyone on the forum has this model and how it works for you

TY

Ha! Nice one.

People will turn their noses up at the 4050 but it's a decent performer; equals the 3060 while sipping half the power.
Just don't bank on much on-battery play time; 53.5WHr is large Chromebook territory.
well i will stay plugged in during loadshedding battery will only be used when on the road.

yeah the benchmarks i checked it runs between 3050ti and 3060 with much less power consumption, but yeah i just cant get myself convinced yet.

this bench looks decent

*nvm, just reread that you were able to get the laptop on a deal from a cellular shop, so I guess Amazon and stuff is out of the question.

I don't know about the rtx 4050, but for the price, the laptop seems a bit lacking.
Like the screen is listed as
Colour Gamut: 45% NTSC

And the hdmi port is inexplicably listed as:
HDMI 2.1 Port Up to 4K @ 60Hz

If you shop around a bit more, I'm sure you can get better.
If you're open to Amazon, you can get a rtx 4060 with 13700hx, 165hz wqxga screen for less(just under 30k), shipping and tax included

well yeah i agree the laptop is a bit pricey, but i dont need anything bigger faster and I dont need to throw all the cash upfront for it.
