Hey guys.

So I have both the Xbox series and PS5 controller in my possession atm and i'm looking for a controller to play with on PC and android (phone) and IOS (Ipad). Both controllers are sealed as i'm contemplating which to use.
I don't plan on getting a console any time soon due to the price and have barely touched my outdated Ps3 since when it launched however will probably get the ps5 in the distant future.

After much research I am on the fence, on one side you get better compatibility with the Xbox controller however the PS5 controller has better features as well as being rechargeable.

Please share your thoughts...

In terms of the better features on the PS5 controller. I am assuming you mean haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Do they work on PC games? If not then the point doesn't really apply.

True. Not sure if it works on PC. I'm hoping for a mod/software update in the future to get it to work but not sure if it can be done or if there is a way around it.

If that is the life you want, tinkering and toying and hoping, then sure.

If you want it to just work out of the box, use the Xbox controller. The Series controllers are excellent.

Xbox controllers will almost always have less hassles and much better compatibility when used with PC, PS controllers on windows can be a pain to setup, on linux it's easier, although I have not tried the PS5 on PC yet. Most games on PC would be coded for the xbox layout, some might auto switch to the PS profile for you, but in my experience those are far and few, you'd need to use steam's controller features to make or download a suitable profile for most games. In terms of what works well on phones I have no idea...

Used a PS5 controller on PC for ages and haptic feedback and adaptive triggers worked great using the DS4 software and in COD Cold War. Only PC game I played.
Having used XBox controllers in the past on PC, my opinion is the PS5 Controller is just far superior
