Emigration sale
Prusa i3 3D Printer Kit
Hot End: J-Head Hot End, 0.4mm nozzle- comes with 2 rolls of filament - Transparent - Black
Build volume: 200 x 200 x 240mm (width x depth x height)
Just needs a power source
Originally bought as a 1st version of this model at R6000, looking to sell for between R4000 to R3000 range.
After the setup, the PLA (clear filament is PLA...) clogged the extruder. This was replaced it, purchased a new spool, the black filament - which is ABS. Unfortunately I found I could either heat the heatbed or the extruder to the necessary temp - not both at the same time.
I could print but then it wouldn't stick, or temp of bed would be fine but extruder would never reach the needed temp... This was due to the power supply not being adequate (I had an old converted PC power supply 240V which only had 15amps - it should be at least 20amps, or 25amps). I gave up at that point and shelved the whole thing.
Per the Prusa i3 forums the recommended power supply option is an Embedded Switch Mode Power Supply SMPS, 12V dc, 25A, 300W Enclosed…I just never bought one and therefore never continued with the printing and thus its been standing in the garage gathering dust
