PC runs but only displays black screen

Good day, my pc was working fine for years and then all of the sudden when I turned it on last week, it only displayed a black screen plus no output to mouse and keyboard. I tried troubleshooting trying different solutions, switching ram, different gpu, checked monitor on different computer, worked, so not that. Also took out the battery and did a reset, checked power supply, so the only two possible problems are the motherboard and cpu. I have googled my motherboard and some people experienced the exact same problem, so leaving towards that being the problem. Any help would be appreciated. If I do need to replace the motherboard, what would be the most cost effective method? It has to be a amd3 slot in order for my cpu to fit. Here are my specs:

MSI 970A-g46 motherboard
AMD FX 8350 cpu

GTX 1060 6gb

10gb ram
