I'm looking for a cooler for my new Jetstream card but I can't seem to find information about the board design. Is it reference or not and has anyone successfully installed a custom cooler on the card?

Why do you want to change the cooler? Is the stock cooler not good enough?

It's not terrible or anything. It's just that I mine with it and my PC is in my bedroom so in the dead of night with no other ambient noise it is slightly irritating sometimes.

Understood. Aren't you afraid of losing your warranty though?

I’ve never seen a warranty sticker on a GPU that would be removed by installing an aftermarket cooler. Also, glue that shit back on with Bostick.

Only seen them on Asus and MSI cards.. its a tiny sticker on one of the screws that say warrnty void is removed if you look with it with a 10x magnifying glass.

Warranty sticker is normally on a screw that needs to be removed to remove the stock cooler?

It won't be "fine". If they so much as think the cooler has been removed/tampered with warranty is void. EVGA is the only board partner that I know of that will RMA even if you've removed the cooler, provided it isn't in a bad condition. I'v even seen their staff tell dudes to buy a replacement cooler off eBay and send that in, as they don't accept coolers with too much cosmetic damage.

What if he sent it back in with the original cooler on? It'll be fine.

I have 7 of these jetstream cards from 1070 up to 1080ti, and even the 1080ti barely makes a sound while mining. The jetstream cooler is so effective on my 1080s that the fans sometimes power off for certain algos and the cards never go above 58 with a 35+ ambient. If I might make a suggestion, turn you powertune down to 85-90, depending on your case and the airflow your fans might not even exceed 40%.

no, all GPUs will void the warranty if you tamper with the way it came to you,
However, Arctic Accelero is the best and only aftermarket GPU cooling solutions available -

I have a blower GTX970 I'm trying to fix up currently with the above, as it is shutting my PC down when playing games, due to getting excessively hot ;( its sad; weather In cape town is also partly to blame;

From what I understand, this isn't true as EVGA allows their coolers to be replaced while keeping the card in warranty.

I don't see how they would police that unless there was a sticker over one of the screw sockets that said 'void if removed'. Surely, anyone with a bit of nouse would know how to replace a cooler?

I am. How would they tell without taking the card apart themselves?

Cards come with stickers/seals over screws and other vital pieces needed to remove the heatsink. Just like with PSU's, hard drives and some other hardware. So if the sticker/seal is tampered with or broken, they know the card has been fiddled with. Goodbye warranty.

Well yes, if you break that then they will know but I've had a few cards where the sticker is on the PCB so you can't do what you want.

Obvious warranty sticker is obvious.

Really? I stand corrected then. Have never come accross a piece of hardware where the sticker isnt over a vital screw or component in disassembling the hardware.

Powercolor Zotac Gigabyte Galax Evga.. no sticker.

This is just the brands I own right now
This^
I was going to pull photos of my Gigabyte tonight but I don't think I'll bother.
I had a Powercolor 7950 that I put an aftermarket cooler on. Was much better afterwards.

Will take pics tonight of my GPU's. The gigabyte and EVGA I believe have stickers. Have MSI and ASUS as well as powercolor. All I think have stickers. But let me be 100% sure.
