So I recently got my hands on the OGG iPhone that started it all.
I used to actually own one back in the day, and back then we had to jailbreak our iPhone to load Apps as there wasn't an actual App Store.

Anyways, FFW to 2023, I was going through my Uncles old office tech and I stumbled into the below.
I was so nostalgic to see it, that I immediately plugged it is, because he still has the box, unused charging cable, power adaptor, earphones, manuals, stickers etc.

Low and behold the first screen I was presented with was that of a Pineapple logo instead of an apple logo.
It looked familiar to me as I was probably the one who jailbroke his phone too.

Anyways, it seems stuck in a boot loop, as after the Pineapple logo appears, the phone switches off and repeats this cycle when you try to turn on again.
Ive gone through countless threads and no solution seems to exist other than replacing the battery, which in its own is a mission as even if I manage to order one from AliExpress or Amazon or wherever, its not as simple as opening, detaching the old ones connector and replacing with the new one.

You have to carefully pry open the old battery, without damaging the connector cable of the battery and remove the connector cable before connecting the new battery and then hoping you can close it carefully before attempting to turn on and have success.

Anyone had a similar experience and are there any local places that can help me bring back this old device to life?

(FYI I did the whole connect to iTunes and enter DFU mode and then click on restore but then it keeps telling me it will restart to get out of DFU mode, b ut whatever the error says ir is won't allow you to reset again without entering DFU mode.

Its so frustrating.

Never had an experience with this device however I would recommend trying 3utools.

Connect the device, if it’s stuck on dfu mode , you are able to exit dfu mode directly using 3utools. Their restore might work even though iTunes didn’t or their error code might give you a better indication on what could possibly be wrong.

Hope this can help, have a great day.

Thanks so much bud. Really appreciate it.
I'll definitely try that out. Would be amazing to get it working again. Much appreciated. Will keep you posted
