I actually need something like this to replace my oooold media laptop.

Has this worked quite well for you? ie no lag in the menu's and and when streaming.

I basically would need it for showmax, netflix, dstv now, youtube, twitch.

Hi bud. Apologies, forgot to subscribe to the thread so didn't see your message. I've decided to use one at home to test. So far quite impressed. Struggles a bit with the Wifi signal, but my router is quite far from the unit (in another room with quite thick walls). With Ethernet it runs smooth. I'm still doing further testing on it, but for the price it's been great so far. Will update with a proper review once I've had more time using it. Currently using it for YouTube, Kodi, Google Music and still need to test Showmax. For some reason the Showmax app doesn't work with the device - but I'm sure I'll get it figured out as Netflix works. Web interface also works well with Chrome pre-installed

Just want to say I have the same box, I got everything to work, DSTV, showmax etc. your just have to hide your root, its a really good product. (just dtsv you have to download an older version of the app)
