Motor vehicle registered in my name that I don't own

Hey Guys

Just went to my friendly *couch* license department to renew my motor vehicle license. I usually get the report from them which lists all the vehicles on my ID number. To my surprise this morning there is a toyota carolla on the list. It wasn't on the list last year and I have never owned a carolla or even a toyota.

Anyone ever have a situation like this? Can I just scrap it or do I need to report it stolen? I have all the details of the ca: engin number, VIN number , lisense number. The weirdest part is that it has GP registration and all my other cars are registered in north west province.

Report it. This could be someone that is committing fraud to get a license for a stolen vehicle or someone hasn't done their job right. Happened to someone I know. His caravan license details were stolen and someone got it registered and took out a license. When he wanted to renew his license for his caravan it was updated as already been taken.

I would say its time to go and collect your car

Get the address where it is located. Report it stolen. Phone the police office in that area, tell them your car has been stolen, and where it is located.

Get it off your name ASAP, I know someone who was picked up at 3am out of his bed by cops because a guy that bought his old car had raped a girl and had never changed the license number...
