Hi everyone

Interested in upgrading my network a bit and adding one of these Mikrotik HAP Lite Routers
(

Currently have an old Netgear DG834 Telkom router) and since im still on ADSL connection, i am aware that i will have to have the main router in bridge mode or just use the mikrotik as DCHP server and let it do all the work, which is the plan.

I would like some more info on the wireless coverage and quality, although the Netgear has really bad wireless overall (54mbs) compared to todays standards it's coverage and stability i found was so far good enough for my purpose, as i also run an additional extender to compensate and don't really have a need for transferring files via Wireless.

I tried to do some research online and the results are for most part mixed for the Mikrotik HAP Lite routers wireless ,some say its efficient, others say it depends on the configurations and channels, and the list continues.

Anyone that has one of these little routers and can give some advice and review on it ?

I know my way around the basics of Mikrotik and doing some research on the things i want to do, and so far have most figured out (or so i hope), and think it could be a really fun project and serve as a valuable tool for future networking endeavours as with the research done so far, seems you can some really cool stuff with it.

I have a set of these to cover the middle and front of my house, very happy with them. Don't have much advice to give but it does help that the software allows a plethora of changes and settings, making them far better than the crap ISP hand out with their contracts.
