I recently purchased a MSI Armor 1080ti, notorious for it's superior cooling ability. Heh.
Personally I am not too fond of my hardware constantly thermal throttling. My limited solutions were a choice between an AIO or some monstrosity of a Artic cooler. I opted for the NZXT Kraken G12.
Straight out of the box, it is literally a piece of metal. The punch marks are clean and everything is neatly powdered coated. However, the kit does NOT include thermal paste, very strange...
Preparing the now sad looking 1080ti for its new cooler.
I have no idea how MSI thought this was good enough?
All cleaned up!
3... 2... 1...
After some (read A LOT) of fiddling, she is in!
:3
Finally plugged in and ready to roll again:
Onto the results...
From constantly hitting 80degrees, the card now hardly goes over 50degrees. Win win win.
In conclusion, it works! Wonderfully. Installation was super simple and the card looks good back in the PC.
