I received an Alienware AW3418DW 34" UltraWide QHD (3440x1440) 120Hz 4ms IPS 1900R Curved G-Sync Gaming Monitor with a PC I bought off of a Carbie here many months ago. A while later I stopped gaming and decided to get rid of the PC.

I started using the monitor with my MacBook Air and as great as it was, I needed to buy another adapter to get it over 60hz and it seemed overkill to use it just for daily browsing and work.

The plan was to replace it with a single 27-inch+ 4K monitor, but nothing I've looked at feels like the right replacement. And because of that feeling, I've been using a single 24-inch 1080p screen as my only alternative to the 13-inch MacBook display for months 🙃

I'd prefer not to spend more than R5000 on a used replacement.
It can be 60hz but should have good colors and contrast, probably 4K, 27-inch at a minimum.
What would you recommend I look at?

A CRT TV with a HDMI adapter.

Why is it overkill to use the monitor?

It feels like wasted potential when it was made to be one of the greatest gaming monitors and I’m busy doing spreadsheets on it.

I know those monitors have some demand so I thought it’d be better to let someone else use it to its full capacity. But now I miss it.

I had one they awesome then I replaced it with

Dell Alienware AW2721D, now i am on mission find another! Its an awesome monitor!
