Go Pro 5 black should 1080p at 120fps
Go Pro 2018 can only shoot 1080p at 60 fps

The 2018 version does not do 4k video at all and can also do 60fps at 2k

I know there was an update that let you use Go Pro 5 , 6 , 7 and 8 batteries but will not update the camera to record 4k video.

I watched the video you linked now. It's interesting but can it be confirmed. Have you shot 4k video ? If GoPro had old Hero 5s why not sell them as Hero 5s and not lock the features and make an extra $50 per unit (whatever the different is) :/ hmmm interesting but if you can confirm shooting 4k videos and check the res on a PC that is awesomely great

Sure, will gladly confirm for you once I am home. The body has clear markings which indicate that the differences between the Hero 2018 and the Hero 5 Black.

This Hero 2018 shoots 4k as well. Will post some pics once I am home.
