Hello all,
Time to do another clean-up of random assorted stuff. Please note that all of the following is for free (as in gratis, nada, nothing, niks). If you feel you do want to pay something please consider a small donation to a charity of your choice.
As it is free I am not willing to ship, I don't feel like schlepping out to the post office. I am available this entire week at home - glorious holidays. So, this is limited to the Randburg area. I will also ask that people only reply on this forum as that will make it clear who wants what. So please, no PM. This is offered on a first come first served basis, I want to clear the stuff away thus do not want it hanging around the house for weeks on end.
So, without further ado, here's the list. There are no warranties on any of the items. The last time they were used, they were in working order (except for one item). All of the items are still in good condition. The following is thus applicable to all items:
Condition: Good to Mint
Warranty: None
Collection: Yes
Shipping: No
Reason: Spring cleaning again
Packaging: I don't have the original packaging available for any of this
Item: MvixBox NAS
Age: About four / five years
Linky: MviX - Take Your Entertainment To The Limit
Note: I used this for a while, takes two drives. Please note that it comes without hard drives (you'll have to add your own). I also don't have the CD anymore, but the client software for the MvixBox is available online as well as on the NAS itself. I've upgraded to a different NAS as I couldn't get it to play nice with Windows 7.
Item: Antec Super Cyclone Blower
Age: Couple of years I think
Linky: Antec.com - Product: Super Cyclone Blower
Note: See through blue plastic with an extension section (fitted). Don't need it anymore
Item: Voyager Camera Shoulder Bag
Age: Four years
Linky: Can't find one
Note: I used it to store my Pentax K100 along with three lenses. Not really suited for that, 1 (D)SLR and two lenses would fit in it quite well though. Upgraded to a new camera and a Lowepro backpack so not needed anymore. It is approximately 25cm wide, 20cm high, 14cm deep. There is a divider in the main compartment (movable). There are two smaller side pockets, a front pocket and an internal net pocket in the hood that covers the main compartment. Carry handle as well as a padded shoulder strap. Can't find anything similar, but think of the smaller Lowepro shoulder bags with external pockets.
Item: Razer Barracuda AC-1 Sound Card
Age: Four years ?
Linky: Razer Barracuda AC-1 Gaming Audio Card
Note: I used this with the Razer headset, unfortunately the headset died, it's replacement died and the card was consigned to a cupboard. No use for it anymore, so it's here for the taking. I have the adapter for standard 5.1 input still with the card.
Item: Asus EEE-PC 4G Surf [NON WORKING]
Age: 4 years ?
Linky: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. - Eee- ASUS Eee PC 4G Surf
Note: Please note that this item does not work. It does not switch on, unsure why. Wanted to see whether it can be fixed and never got around to it. Maybe somebody wants it for spares or to tinker with and see whether they can get it running. Please note that I've upgraded it back in the day to 1 Gig of memory from the standard 512 meg. I will also throw in the carry bag. It is the white one, has a couple of marks on it so ain't pristine. Cupboard storage does that.
Item: Huntkey Titan 650W PSU
Age: 3 years?
Linky: Don't feel like searching for one anymore...
Note: I have to be honest, I am not sure about this one. I do believe it still works as I upgraded my PC last year and did not throw this PSU out. Caveat Emptor though. It comes with mounting screws and the power plug and is boxed (not the original box though).
Item: 2x Blazer 8x21 binoculars
Age: 10 years
Linky: Couldn't find anything
Note: I have two of these available. Get them as corporate gifts and they were never used. Small, fold out type (the kind that you see posh people at the opera use). Each is still in the leather case it came with. Time to let them go - if after ten years I haven't used them, I never will. Still works, I tried both out and they, well, binoculate...
Item: Mysteries of Mind, Space and Time, volumes 1 to 26
Age: Yikes. 20 years+ ?
Linky: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Unexplained_(magazine)
Note: Quaint, printed matter on weird stuff. I.e. books. Get them and one day show your children how the printed word worked in your time. The above talks about magazines, these are hardcover books. Some of the covers are dusty, but the actual pages are still crisp and clear
Item: Mysteries of the Unknown, 15 volumes
Age: Guessing also about 20 years+
Linky: Mysteries of the Unknown - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Note: More printed matter, hardcover volumes published by Time Life Books. Still in excellent condition, dusty covers but crisp and clear pages
Then a random grab bag of items, I'll just list them all here:
Item: AirLink wireless Hard Drive casing. No power supply
Item: D-Link 1xport USB print server. No power supply
Item: 1x wii clear gel controller condom. The wii went to my brother in law and this was forgotten.
Item: iChill mouse mat
Item: PSP Accesory pouch and cloth
Item: PSP PlusTV PSP to TV converter (no idea whether this works or not, I think its more suitable for the older PSP)
If you're interested in any (or all!) please reply to this post. Do not PM me directly, but reply here. I'll PM my contact details out to interested parties and reply to this when I've done so. Once again, I am on leave for this week, so people that are interested must be able to get to Randburg.
