Unless you've upgraded to a 1080 Ti, i honestly dont see reason to get rid of your 980 ti. Mine runs 2-5% slower than a 1080 on close to 15 different benchmarks. And thats at 50 degrees

I upgraded for Freesync support. Helps quite a bit when you play some older titles at 4K and the frame rate bounces between 45 - 70.

The Palit card I upgraded to is also the most quietest card I've ever owned. That thick 2.8 slot cooler doing it's job. It was a damn good price too, I don't need a 1080Ti or 2080, that's overkill for me and costs too much.

Nah fam, RTX is a waste of time and money right now. Maybe in two or three generations there will be enough adoption and the performance penalty wont be as high.
