All jokes aside ... its not the best game out there, in fact its horrible. I wouldn't recommend it... from the crappy PC port to the predatory monetization.
Despite that however , I am currently enjoying the braindead gameplay, especially after Elden Ring. Plus im a sucker for that aRPG gameloop

Anyone playing? Wanna join my Warband?
Add me, Im LVl 43

Man, I'm having soooo much fun... totally addicted to hack'n slash.
A new Diablo, the mother and father of the genre... doesn't get any better than that

Plead to about level52 .........got bored. Few hours of great fun to have without spending any cash.

If you want some nice hack n slash try V Rising. No micro transactions and is only R130 on Steam. Been having tons of fun on this

Thanks for the lead - will definitely check it out.
Was very happy with Path of Exile and the first two Torchlights (not the 3rd one, didn't like it).
Tried also Grim Dawn and Van Helsing, but that just wasn't all that satisfactory...

I'm still on Diablo Immortal btw, 15 Paragon atm.
Me thinks community judging too harsh re. micro transactions. Got thus far without any need to spend a dime.

Echohack says that their research revealed that after six legendary item drops in a day, your future drop rate severely decreases. The same applies to normal gems awarded when playing in a four player group – the first six found each day have a much higher drop rate, dropping to an estimated one normal gem per hour afterwards. In addition, side quests, purple bosses, cursed chests, and random map events all stop giving rewards after the first five in a day, while Library of Zoltan Kule treasure rooms are similarly limited to five per day.

Hidden lair dungeons also stop giving gem rewards after the first six normal gems dropped, meaning “you can only do one, maybe two layers a day before they become extremely worthless.” Echohack also addresses the gathering marks used to progress shadows, which are an important part of endgame. They note that it’s difficult to track how this number is calculated, but state that its progression is limited to 10,000 per day with any additional marks submitted by a player being worthless.

As these caps are not mentioned by the game, you’ll have to manually keep track of how many rewards you’ve collected from each source if you want to avoid wasting your grinding time. Some caps are displayed, such as the restriction on paragon level xp earned in a single day – which is directly tied into your blacksmith upgrade capacity. Echohack notes that while limiting paragon xp isn’t a problem by itself, tying it into other mechanics creates an artificial restriction on those systems.

No disrespect, bro - but the guys that wrote the article must have been those maniacs with no life that play the game 24/7, while having their mom coming in 3 times a day to bring a sandwich and take away the dirty laundry ;)

The rest of us old toppies with full-time jobs and families can only afford and hour a two per day, during which we lucky to see a single legendary drop - never mind worrying what happens after the sixth one :p

Bwahahaha. I am with you on being an old toppie with no time.

The way I see it, it's like a casino.
Regular folks go there blow a few hundred or a few grand, they walked in knowing how much they're willing to spend to have a good time.
Then you get someone with an addictive personality who goes there and leaves without their car and house.
A bit blown out of proportion, but there will be people playing the game who spend ludicrous amounts of money without quite grasping that they're being preyed on.

That's just my take on it, and it seems like they are 'sneakily/quietly' handicapping you if you don't pay.
I guess if they were straight up honest with the drop rates for F2P and actually laid out the "loot" mechanics in a spreadsheet/chart I wouldn't care, because the information would be easily accesible for anyone.
