I learned something new. Will have to be the 180W Thunderbolt docks, WD19TB or 19TBS. The Dell Precision 5550 only has HBR2 which will only have enough bandwidth for two of my displays. So the Thunderbolt will allow for more displays to be connected with more bandwidth available.

Currently the best I can get is R5200 directly from Dell supplier with an estimate of 7-8 weeks backorder.

I was also after one of these docks (Thunderbolt version) - I've got the USB-C version but it will only drive my displays in HD rather than their 2.5k native res. I landed up importing from B&H Photo.

Yeah unfortunately the non-TB won't work as you mentioned. Specially if you want more displays. How much did it work out in total from B&H and how long did it take to deliver?

Thanks. Currently I am still aiming for the 19TB which have more ports (currently need one HDMI and two Display Ports) . There were also some issues with the TB15 and TB16 at the time. Not sure if that is still the case? Looks like I will just have to wait a bit until there is stock again and the ridiculous prices have stabilised.

Unless somehow you have access to a 180W charger and offer at a good price, might help as a temp solution?

My dock arrived yesterday. It works nicely.

I paid ZAR 1036.70 in customs duties + DHL clearing fees and R 6016.94 for an open box item from B&H.

A bit expensive, but it's great having the extra resolution. This is the 180w version.

Ouch, yeah thats pricey. It's about R5000 from Dell suppliers, stock suppose to arrive sometime mid December.
