Hello Carbons,
I'm putting together a long overdue upgrade and would really appreciate your knowledgeable input. Anything you'd change or recommend for a better value build? Any and all wisdom greatly appreciated!

Budget R44k - centred around 1440 gaming and also able to handle moderate work-from-home load (multitasking, web browser, and Excel crunching, Zoom, MS Sql-ing).
Wootware / Progenix have the best prices I can find. Someone here will definitely know more than I do.

Monitor: Dell 32" G3223D QHD USB-C 2560 x 1440 165Hz
GPU: RTX 4070
CPU: Intel i7 13700F
Mobo: ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI Intel B760 Raptor Lake LGA 1700 DDR5 ATX Desktop Motherboard
CPU Cooler: DEEPCOOL GAMMAXX AK500 CPU Heatsink and Fan
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 16GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 DRAM 6000MHz
PSU: ?
Case: Corsair-4000D-Airflow-Edition-Tempered-Glass-Mid-Tower-E-ATX-Case-White
SSD: ADATA Legend 960 MAX PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 2280 NVMe SSD with Heatsink — 1TB

Thank you!

I would do the following:

And then your choice of either a 4070 or 7800XT for the GPU. 7800XT is about 5% faster overall.

DLSS, FSR, Frame-gen etc all come in to play, so it depends on what matters to you I suppose.

Thanks for the effort! I hadn't looked too deeply into the AMD route so this is very helpful.

No problem man.

It's basically the rig I'm running which is why I recommend it. Honestly, you could go for a cheaper CPU and spend the extra on a GPU, I guess it comes down to how many cores you need and so forth.
