Hey guys, just want to ask a few questions regarding the Corsair H100i V2 cooler:
Specs:
Cooler: H100i V2 (6 months old)
CPU: i7 4770k delid @ 4.4ghz 1.25V (Grizzly conductonaut)
Mobo: Asus Z87 Gryphon + 16GB Ram
GPU: Gigabyte 980
Case: Corsair Obsidian 350D
Fans: All slots filled with max size fan - Corsair SP Quite fans
My coolant temperature reaches 45°C after like half an hour of PUBG, yet my CPU temps are great at a max of 50° - 55°C in game depending on how long I play.
My ambient is 25°C.
My cooler is mounted in front of the case with the pipe at the top.
Questions:
1. Is 45°C on the coolant temps bad? I heard Gamer Nexus say 60°C is where degradation starts and that is also only when maintained for long periods of time.
2. Should the pipes be facing down or is it just a myth that that has any affect?
3. Is it worth getting a new case or maybe even new fans to decrease the coolant temperatures?
Any help would be appreciated
