Has anyone had any experience with drift mod fix specifically on the Xbox Series S|X Controller?
Did it work?

My Series S controller developed a pretty bad drift not even a year in. It would mechanically not return to center after releasing the joystick but besides that even if i nudge it to center it would input up (forward) automatically after a few seconds even when the controller is lying on the desk untouched. I did try to adjust the mod, I can get it to always input forward but I can't get it to stop drifting. I'm just going to replace the joystick completely but was curious if others had success with these mods.

These are only temporary fixes. You always start with replacing the potentiometers depending on the drift if that fails then just replace the stick

I"ll just do the whole stick right of the bat. I tried the mod fix because I havn't seen it before and wanted to see if it works.

Is that drift kit a permanent fix though? I saw it but I dont want to solder things. You might find some improvement with a good clean and the above mentioned stick swap. Compressed air and alcohol cleaning made an improvement for me, afterwards I swapped to new plastic sticks and was better, later I swapped to the aluminium sticks and the controller is now very usable. Not like new but not as bad as it was before

Its a permanent install. You will need to solder it. Cleaning will help but it will come back as the potentiometers will eventually wear and break. But those are easy to replace if they don't fix it then the stick itself needs to be replaced

Already broke the seal and soldering the mod. I got the right tools to replace the stick myself so no worries, I'd rather pay R50 for the new stick plus half hour or so of my time than spending the time and money going through the hassle of getting a warranty repair/swop.

Tried cleaning first by dripping IPA into it and then moving the stick around. It improved a little bit. At this tage I think the stick is broken and i'm pretty sure it's from playing remnant from the ashes, the run button is on that stick.

My bad - I should start reading properly. :censored:
