So, I'm offering myself as an affordable Courier (Scooter) guy for any peeps here on Carb 🛵

If you're not too keen to get the stuff yourself or don't have the time to, I'm here to run the show for you.

Of course the obvious would be legitimacy (scam/theft) trust issues, and I haven't really thought of a way yet to solidify the trust. But please do advise if you have a way 🙃


Pretoria and Centurion would be my main routes. Joburg is a stretch!

A picture of my fat lady (I call my scooter that). She moves pretty quick across.

Not a bad idea there, but you going to need quantity to make a profit.
But one has to start somewhere with the idea, but think guys will shoot you down cause it's hard to beat pudo, but it's not same-day delivery and that's maybe where you can bridge that gap.

Thanks for the input solz. Really appreciate that. I am aiming to do same day delivery. Actually I'm aiming for a quick delivery system. I'm in the central parts of the city, so centralization will help.

Courier Guy doesn't seem to offer insurance on any 2nd hand goods being shipped. If that is the case, I don't think insurance should be a requirement for @JustADude_Kay . The rest is cool though, although I would prefer somebody like this to be exempt from subs until they have made a few bucks and built up a good reputation.

@JustADude_Kay if you were in CPT I would have made use of your services for sure.

I'm gonna go with @eyesuc on a few points he mentioned (greatly appreciated too). I'm looking to build a rep and network first. Step by step, not looking to hit highly profitable bucks immediately. Just want to also test the waters and build on my profile, while continuing my other hustles elsewhere.

Insurance is a dark cloud with this kind of small biz, I'm looking at maintaining an honest network at first before going bigger.

As you said, small packages first. That's where I'm at now

You will need a solid contract in place, and then a small guy can also say FU and move on*. The thing is it opens room for abuse and inserts massive trust issues (Oooh, R 30k delivery - this definitely "disappears" today).

* to an extent. If someone takes you to court over it, even with a solid contract in place, it can be extremely costly.

Well GPUs are fairly high value density (price per mm3) items, but CPUs can be even higher. Imagine sending a box of Threadripper Pros or EPYCs - it can be a box much smaller than a GPU but valued at over a bar.

A lot of people are too busy to collect items and check that they are in fact what was advertised. This would obviously come at an extra cost, but it would be a useful tool for any buyer.
