Selling for R1500, paid over R3000 for it new. Reason for selling: ever since our son was born 4 years ago, we don't have the time anymore to do photography, so we are rather letting go of everything while they are still in mint condition, instead of it just lying around and collecting dust. Nifty fifty is the cheaper prime lens. (not the L version) BUT a awesome performer especially for the price. GLWS

I believe there are the 3 EF versions, the 1.8 (Also known as Nifty 50, best bang for buck), the 1.4 (Which I have, ultrasonic motor), and finally the top of the range most expensive will probably hardly ever open it up fully, the 1.2 L series.
With the nifty 50 you can get near-identical images compared to the more expensive two in most situations, it's very rare that one needs to open wider than 1.8.
