Once again, I've built a PC that's simply overkill for my requirements - the bit of PC gaming I do can quite comfortably be done on my Laptop... I'm looking at buying an M3 again, so I'm selling off my Honda along with my PC and random stuff that's standing around the house virtually unused.

Would also consider trades + cash difference for a 775 board with at least 6 SATA ports - though 8 would be preferable, and some memory for the board - in which case I'll just keep the E6420 to run in the board. A mid-range GPU up to a max of R1k in value would also be on my wishlist - something like a GTX460, a 5850, or somewhere along those lines.

Item: HIS ATI Radeon HD5970 2GB Dual GPU graphics card *** READ CONDITION BEFORE GETTING EXCITED AT THE PRICE***

HIS+Radeon+HD+5970.jpg

Age: About 20 months
Warranty: Nein
Packaging: Full
Condition: This card's a bit of a funny... SoulReap3r claimed it crashed on him, so I bought it back, and I've never had it bomb out on me. I applied fresh thermal paste to the stock cooler 2 weeks ago, and she runs nice and chilly. Display output controller seems to have been damaged in a power surge - Direct DVI and DVI-to-HDMI adapter connections produce a red mist artefact on screen. DVI-to-DSUB connector works perfectly though. Haven't tested DisplayPort.
Location: Observatory, Johannesburg, near Eastgate nights & weekends, Midrand on weekdays
Reason: Selling off the whole rig - unused.
Shipping: Nope - Courier pickup only.
Collection: Happily - will meet in Joburg if necessary

Is the HIS ATI Radeon HD5970 2GB Dual GPU graphics card still available?

Gents, let me re-iterate and spell things out, because if I get one more retarded "the card is stuffed - here's a pie and a coke" offer, I'm going to come to your house and kick you in the head until you can read properly...

The 5970 is NOT stuffed.
The display output controller is damaged, in the sense where I can only conclude that the dual link mode doesn't work correctly.

Dual Link DVI cable to monitor - red mist on screen
DVI-to-HDMI adapter to HDMI screen - red mist on screen
DVI-to-DSUB (15 pin VGA) adapter, to screen - displays and functions perfectly
DisplayPort - untested.

So, in conclusion - if you're running a T260 or the likes, and you're happy to run the display via the Dsub VGA port, this card will work perfectly for you.

Also an ideal solution for someone who wants to use it as the slave card to crossfire with an existing 5970 / 5870 / 5850.

Now please quit insulting me with silly opportunistic offers - the card works perfectly, barring the digital DVI / HDMI output not working correctly. And it's priced to go + even slightly negotiable if you've got a smaller card and cash difference..
