"A brief history of the best laptop I have ever owned"
Current Spec: Intel i7 2630QM | nVidia GTX 460 | Seagate Momentus 512GB SSHD + Samsung 860 Pro 512GB SSD | Kingston Hyper-X Shielded SoDimm DDR-3 16GB in Quad Channel | Windows 10 Pro | BluRay ODD

2011-September 16: Bought my laptop off Amazon US (R15,630) [Even took photos of the unboxing  ]
2011-November 17: Upgraded the 4GB Hynix Stock RAM to 16GB Kingston Hyper-X & added a second Seagate 500GB SSHD (R2,480)
2011-August: RMA'd the battery since it only lasts maybe 40 minutes. Turns out this is normal... however got a new Asus battery still.
2012: Clean / remove dust and apply Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste to CPU and GPU
2013-September 10: Upgrade M.2 WiFi module to Intel Dual Band AC7260 for 5GHz capability. Bought TWO Li batteries from eBay (R3,140)
2013-December: Clean / removed dust.
2014-February: Ordered a nVidia GTX 580 off eBay to upgrade the GTX 460. Never arrived to this day... (R2,200)
2015: Cleaned / remove dust and added new IC Diamond thermal paste (R240)
2015-2017: Stored away due to new job taking over my life...
2018-March 27: Replaced one of the Seagate SSHD's with a Samsung 860 Pro for OS and Trading Platform for new career (R1,412)
2018-June: Toured Europe with me while trading remotely.
2018-October 27: Replace the keyboard and apply new thermal paste (R546)
2019-January 16: Replace battery with new 'higher capacity' Asus unit. I got almost 1h20m initially. (R750)
2019-February 17: Last WHQL GPU driver released.
2020-March: Clean / remove dust and apply silicone thermal pads and new paste from IC Diamond. (~R380)
2021 10-year Anniversary. I have had approximately 8 other laptops in this period too, which didn't survive.
2022: In the market to upgrade the current i7 CPU to i7 2760QM, however life gets away from me.
2023: Immigration in progress. My tech requirements are becoming very exotic, so upgrading the platform is no longer an option.
2023-September: Fully cleaned CPU and GPU. The board has new industrial thermal paste, thermal pads on VRM's & controller, and new high temperature tape around CPU and GPU.

Everything works, the touch buttons, the keyboard, the hinges, speakers and woofer, the touchpad. The screen has absolutely no scratches. The original ASUS charger still works 100%.
The PC has NO DUST inside.
I will include a full repository of WHQL drivers + the email address associated with the Windows 10 License.
This is an extremely solid notebook PC.
