Both CRTs have been sitting in the closet for the past two decades so I decided to power them on and see what's cooking. As stated I'll be moving house so getting rid of old tech and don't have the time or patience to get these fixed..
The Mecer seemingly works 100%, colour is good on this unit but the moment it hits the Windows desktop it freaks out as seen in the images above. I suspect it doesn't like the default resolution/frequency but tries to force it anyway and ends up displaying a "wavy" pattern instead.
The KFC handles both resolution/frequencies well however I'm not able to get anything other than the colour Blue to display, this could be down to the VGA cable itself which needs replacing or perhaps an Electron gun that's no longer firing correctly. If you have the technical know-how or ability to fix these, you're a better man than me and God bless you for it.
