Personally never used Akko, but I only have good things to say about my Keychron V2 65%. Switching between my PC and my work laptop works great and I'm not sure if it's true for all the Keychron keebs but they usually include spare keycaps with the MacOS icons etc.

Also welcome, soon you might find yourself building your own keyboard - this hobby be like that

You can’t go wrong with either of these.

The Akko does have a 2.4GHz dongle though which will be much better for wireless gaming. The Keychron is limited to Bluetooth which will have higher latency. Up to you if this feature is worth R600 though. You can also plug in the cable for both if that’s your vibe.

The Akko comes with linear switches iirc and you’ll need to double check what you’re getting on the Keychron. The title says red (linear switches) but the description says brown (tactile switches). One of the reviews also mentions brown switches

I have the K8 Pro and love it.
QMK support is awesome for if you need to add some functions in.

Can only recommend, however if you going to buy it to use wirelessly for gaming, i found too much lag over the BT.

Not sure if the Akko is worth the extra 6 hundy if you going to use it wired.

Both have great keycap sets!

I would go for the Akko 5087B...

Akko used to distribute Ducky, so their build/quality is similar. The Keychrons in that range feel too plasticky and lightweight for me.

However, I do think you will be happy with either.

Another option to consider is Varmilo:
