1660 Super(Hynix memory)Bios mod 33-34 m/h

34.15 m/h @90 watts i only have one with Hynix memory but oh well free hash :)

Windows/Afterburner settings Core=+0 Memory=1300 Powerlimit=70% Fan=100% had to do this cause card started to throttle so running a bit hotter but with fan at 100% it's showing 47 degrees will have to look at hotspot

Don't mine but believe the 6600 XT I just bought has great efficiency for mining, 60W I think? So good for mining where power is expensive.

My 1660s are probably worth a little more now. 😀

I watched the video the day it was released and then read some of the comments where people were having issues detecting the card afterwards.

I’m currently getting around 31.8MH on my Asus cards with fan at 58 and 82W. My evga runs a bit lower at 28 with 85w. May try it on the evga card.

The one i get 34 m/h on now is Evga model check GPU-Z what memory it has 28 is shite even without bios mod i got 31.4 on it

Both the asus and the evga got Hynix memory. But I’m thinking it may be worth it on the evga and not so much on the asus.

Oky so thing is on my Evga to get the 31m/h i set core = -502 and memory = -502 strange overclock i know but it works. Now with MSI Bios flashed i run the settings i gave core +0 memory 1300 PL 70

Yea i read some people had Asus cards not working but still worth a try others had it working.Just make a backup of old bios

Think it’s an issue with the supers with the Hynix. Have the same overclocks for the asus and the evga and power is at minimum. My 1660ti is +1100 memory though and it works fine. Actually only draws 79W

Just try the negative overclocks i gave it works think i set PL to 60/65 % but i m happy with the bios mod :) i had to follow the video step by step never flashed a bios on gpu before so was a bit nervy but glad when it worked lol

I’ll try the evga tomorrow.

Asus, probably not. In the bigger scale of things, around 5MH across 2 cards doesn’t make much of a difference to me.

What I meant was all my 1660 supers are already on the negative 502 underclocks. The 1660ti on the other hand is normal.

Just an update on this i reverted back to the original bios because of stability and card is also running cooler now without having to run fans at 100%.I am not sure if it was the bios mod or something else but id rather be safe

I have 7 Asus 1660 Super cards. Bios flash worked on 5 of them. They are pushing at least 34.5 mh, a couple at 35.53.

I forgot to mention they run cool and stable. i could push them all to 35.5 mh but they get unstable. Still relatively efficient at .42 mh/j

Hi,

the 1660 Supers with Hynix memory performs actually really well. Standard they like -502 on the memory (-1004 in HiveOS) and I also use absolute core clock, that way I do not have to set a power limit. I used to use 1050 absolute core clock, but since then I am using 930 and it works great.

I have made a video on the bios flashing. It works, but it is not stable. I have since reverted back to the standard bios, as stability is more worth than getting an unstable 10% in hash rate...
