All depends on who your isp peers with. Web africa uses wacs as primary bgp prepend and seacom...well its seacom. Id say go with whatever isp has less hops to breakout to. But big big big yes to those who said mikrotik.

Just saying guys, the wrt54g is an amazing AP, you can flash ddwrt on it that is exceptionally powerful with qos, vlans etc. Absolute steal for that price.

I work for an isp and we are using these to connect to our highsite in pmb with 17klm range to our prism sectors....so distance isnt an issue. just make sure you have los and you are good to go.

I work for an ISP and rule of thumb is always keep clear of range extenders. If i had my way it would be napalm or a baseball bat. As oxxza states...cable is king.
