That's an R700 000 hatch back. Why not buy an M3 or S3 instead if you're so keen for performance?
I'd take a demo M3 any day over the A45 but I can see why people like it and it's your preference.

I've had a cla45 for an extremely short while and hated it (using a lever to hold up the bonnet disgusted me for such a pricey car) ... they went cheap on the car ... It's fast yes but the golf is much more car imo. When I get the replacement will tell

I had the old S4, and I always wanted an AMG, as you say preference. And its fast as f@ck. Made my new Golf 7GTi Performance pack look like a baby last Friday

What about the Oettinger Golf R ? 294kw and 500nm... I think it costs around R120k to upgrade if you already own a 7 R.

Been a Bmw driver at heart always ... Owned all the models of the Bmw m3. So the m4 is def in my radar (ordered one when it got launched but at r1.2m I felt robbed ... Plenty exotics in that bracket ) but they dropped now in value so will get one when the R goes ... R is fantastic , one of the best cars I've driven or owned ... But with everything material you do itch for a change

My friend just bought a second hand M3 E46 for R150 00 and spent R70 000 on it. It's mint and really nice. It has finished depreciating and he won't lose too much money. It makes so much more sense than replacing an amazing car with a different amazing car and paying out in depreciation. Please buy me a replacement for my 1998 Corolla when you feel like losing more money in the future.

Yeah wouldn't mind ... I hated the yellow but now thinking of the yellow as well (still not a fan of that metallic baby blue that they tried to make sound all suave calling it Yas marina) ... But not gonna buy a new one ... They advertising at r1m but realistically heard from many sources they selling in the 900s...

I agree with Adamr - M4 too much money for too little car. I drove one for 2 weeks as a sales attempt to lure me away from my GTR.

Feels like the BMW M Power is missing 100kw and 150nm more torque with the car.

Where as Mercedes made all the right moves with the C63S!

BMW isn't the benchmark we all have come to know and loved.

I was given one of the new lambo's and hated it , aircon was blowing really softly so I gave it back ! Then my ferrari felt too slow and I only had for 2 weeks ! I really don't know what to do anymore .. woe is me !

On a side note - I have to agree, I see more R's here in the North of Jhb every day than GTi's, also they don't really stand out from the GTi much - you have to REALLY look to see it's an R. They shoulda gone with a more racey look , flared arches - set it apart from the other sheep out there !

R is really nice - but sjoe !
