Battlefield 2042: Open BETA

I'll be there for the non-preorder days. Been waiting since BF4, I'm over WW1/2 settings. I'm especially interested in the server situation - if we don't get SA servers, it's less of a big deal to me since I'm no longer playing competitively. But it must still be a good experience on 160ms+ for me to consider buying.

FYI, I had to go to the store page in steam and request beta access to start the preload. I have also pre-ordered so that may just be the requirement for early access to the beta

Yep you have to have it pre-ordered or be subscribed to one of their packages.

Well the client did start up and EAC did seem to load on my Linux distro just now, so it should work at least on linux, but I will not be pre-ordering thank you...
 
Mine is preloading for the open beta at 18.8GB through Origin. No pre-order here.

If this is something to go by it looks like our closest server is going to be UK.

I don't want to play at 180ms ping :(. As much as I'm hyped I probably wont purchase if servers aren't on the horizon.

BF1 had servers if I remember correctly, BFV eventually did get servers but at that point nobody was playing the game anymore so heres hoping they get here sooner rather than later.

BF1 did not have on launch either
 
Played a few minutes, But used steam remote play so the latency was kak. However from what i played. Think its pretty lekker so far. Will gooi a few rounds tonight.
