1080P medium looks great to me, I can't even imagine what it must be like maxed out on a big ass 4K screen.

I'm enjoying it. Running at 1440p maxed out except RT because there is no RT for AMD cards yet. 90% of the time I'm between 70 and 85 fps with the lowest drop i noticed in a car chase with explosions etc and that dropped to 65 fps.

Its the new Crysis and expecting ultra seems to be a big ask for even current new GPUs. Drop some settings, stop looking at the fps counter and enjoy yourself.

Polar opposite to my experience right now. Game is a masterpiece for me. I'm less than 10 hours in though - will get plenty time in from this evening.

I've played only like 5hrs and have been blown away by the game.
Yes there are bugs but hell I'm overly impressed by what CDPR have created.

Agreed. about 9 hours in, and absolutely loving the game.
Only gripe is that because of all the pretty bright lights I tend to generate a headache so gotta play in moderation

Good thing that's not a broad, sweeping statement. If we did a poll with the PC okes playing the game here, I think you would find some stats that would challenge the "flop" status. Just my 2 woolongs.

If I may add my 2 eddies, this game is brilliant. It DOES need some fixing, there's balancing issues and bugs and performance should be higher and and and... but it also JUST released, all games have issues at launch, bar Snake on Nokia.

You can pretty much render '90s lara's angles using a pencil, protractor, and a ruler....

post em screenshots ... im playing now on Psycho settings (so above ultra) ... atmospheric lighting is just insane, its stunning, the sheer amount of detail the world has ... DLSS auto (which looks like balanced judging from the fps) ... 55-60fps but again smooooth

edit: yes this is how the game looks ... no bs here ...

I'm also playing on psycho but with DLSS on quality (on a 2080Ti

) even the dips to 45 are ok with g-sync on. In general I'm keeping in the 50's and it's well playable. The eye candy is just too gooood <3 -- should I change DLSS to auto rather?

yes change it to auto ... hard to discern a difference between quality and auto
