Hi Carbies.

Position Wanted: Any work-from-home positions ( Who doesn't like working from home?).
Employment type: Preferably permanent.
Salary: I just want to work.
Starting Date / Notice Period: ASAP
Location: Stellenbosch. Willing to relocate.
Job experience/skill: Worked as a waiter for 4 years, not that it could prove useful. Worked at a musical theater. I studied at Uni for 4 years, did not complete my degree though.
I'm currently doing a TEFL course as well as a Google Cloud course(s), If successful I should be Google Cloud certified (Not sure about the certificate).

About me:

I'm a nerd by heart. I've been using Computers since i was 4 years old.
I enjoy a challenge. I believe there is always a backdoor to any situation.
In my personal opinion, I like to believe I can do any job, since I have a versatile background.

Have you perhaps tried applying for those Amazon Customer Service jobs. I think the only requirement you have to meet is have a 10mbps internet connection(fibre only). The hours are shit but the pay is decent.

I have applied twice. They declined me twice unfortunately. Feel very discouraged to spend more time doing the quizzes for them tbh.

Besides, I don't have fibre. Only 20mbps ADSL at the moment.
 
Sorry to hear that. I have a friend who's sister applied for one of those jobs a few months back and said the only test they had was an oral communication one, so listening to a message and then answering a few questions based on said message and the other test was a typing one. Had no idea they changed so the test.

If you don't come right with any jobs then perhaps try out a course like WeThinkCode. I know you said you studied before but it's a relatively short course, 2 years, with employment and internship placements every 8 months. They do provide you with a monthly stipend, around R3000 which is not much but it's okay.

Will keep a lookout for any online vacancies I come across and forward your way.

I decided to start my own business. I was also offered a freelance position at an ICT company.

EDIT: Weird that It's not quoting everyone's responses.
