Saw "Aprilia" and got excited, then saw "Replica" and was less excited -_-
Anyway heres a pic of my and my boets bikes.
I just have a SC pipe on the Ape now rather than the stock pipe

Not the most recent photo, and not the cleanest either to be honest.
Busy changing it over to blue. Braided hoses are next, then I want to have it sprayed.
speaking of cleaning, my baby needs a new wash as well.
It's sad to see the hard baked innards of bugs splattered over the front of her.

Very true, I am more talking about still changing it a bit though. So those nasty stock mirrors are gone now.
The red brake res should be gone by December.

Nice, your new mirrors suit the bike much better than the bunny ears you had on.
Why not just take the top of the res and sand it down and respray it blue to match your levers?

Because the stock brakes are shit at best. :ROFLMAO:
I ordered a R1 master, brembo res and braided hoses to replace it all. Currently sitting with aramex dubai, should be here in a week or two.
Edit: Besides the better look on the bike, the visibility is amazing. I have never been able to see this much behind me on any of my bikes. No rattle either, best R800 I ever spent on a bike.

Nice, braided hoses just look so sexy :D

I really hope they would, but I have to get it in first.
Since the bike has ABS, I would have to replace all the solid pipes between the master and the pump, and then the hoses from the pump to the calipers. So its going to be a mission.
Strongly considering just taking it to Yamaha to have it fitted
I also hope they are decent quality, never heard of Spiegler before now.

Revzilla sells them so I would assume the quality of the spiegler brake hoses are pretty good.
Seems to be a US based company as well, so not something cheaply made in china at the very least.

I had a Suzuki RM80 I got for my 8th birthday (It's a long time ago, before digital cameras so I don't have pics on hand).

I got an SV650 in August 2008. It was great fun... Commuted from Vereeniging to Alberton and later Vereeniging to Kempton and then Vereeniging to JHB CBD in rain, wind, hail and sun. I dropped it a couple of times at standstill while learning to ride. I later had a small oopsie in JHB CBD and it got written off. I lay in the road for a couple of hours during peak hour traffic waiting for the ambo to fetch me. Didn't get too hurt, but tore muscles in my leg so I couldn't stand/walk for a while.

First track day ever. Free track weekend sponsored by BikeSA for Simon Fourie's birthday in 2009.

After binning the SV in JHB I got this machine. A 2006 GSXR 750. It was awesome! I had it for less than a year before I decided I was going to get married and buy a house. My calculations indicated that I would have a big fat ZERO left at the end of every month... So I sold the GSXR.

Some time passed...

In a moment of craziness... I got a Hardley (lol). Walked into the office one day and the guys were talking about a new Harley that wasn't really a Harley and they had an epic launch deal. The first 75 (or was it 750) would be sold at R750pm for the first 12 months, then R933pm for the next 12 months and just over R1000 for the last 24 months... They also supplied 2 years of paid up insurance and some gift vouchers for a jacket etc. Adding everything up and they way they structured the deal you basically paid the bike off without interest.
It was pretty fun to ride but didn't have decent stopping power for commuting on the highway... I always felt myself looking for exits because I felt like I wouldn't stop in time. This was 2015.

2016 I got something I'd had my eye on since 2008 when I went to the Amid Bike show... A Triumph Daytona 675. I commuted with it for a few months before switching it over to track only after visiting the track in Welkom 2 weeks after bringing it home.

My wife took the first knee down pic of me ever... This was at Midvaal during 2016.

Track body work... The numberplate (airbrake) is also off now.

The newest edition to the stable... Our Son's little bike... sprayed and stickered to look like mine... HEHEHEHE.

P.s. I need to get to the damn track again!

That 3pot is an awesome machine. Love how narrow it is and agile.
I dig the 3pot... I would only really consider getting something else because Triumph had pulled out of SA, so in time parts will become a bit of a pain.

Mine is feeling a little tired...it's a 2011 model with like 40 000 km on it now.

Would REALLY like one of them Moto 2 jobbies, the 765... I think that will give MANY 1000 riders carrots at the track.
I ride in B group and it's a little tougher to pass the 1000s because they have so much grunt on the straights but I tend to carry more corner speed so I can slingshot them out of the corners... the 765 would make it a TAD easier. lol

If I'm not mistaken, you weren't too happy with this bike and didn't have it that long either, unless I'm thinking of someone else.

I did indeed not have it too long.
It was okish... but seriously lacked stopping power.
Big machine with a single front disc, I would use 4 finger braking and felt like I'd still need to jam my foot in the wheel if I wanted to stop in time.

It isn't really my "style" as I prefer zippier/sportier bikes. I was lucky and didn't lose money when I sold the Harley in such a short space of time.

Oh yea and those "magical" neutrals as well? Maybe it has something to do with the person riding it? :p
speaking of magical neutrals... Had to adjust my boot position when I just got the Ape as well so I actually release the lever all the way, else bike goes into a false neutral and just loses all power as if I am holding the clutch

Ey, I paid the premium, I'm allowed to not use my indicators xD
You aren't the first bmw owner to make that excuse, but it's ok, this is a safe space.
We all know BMW doesn't make indicators.

This was my custom sticker kit (designed by myself), from late last year / early this year.

My bike still looks like this, with a few more scratches here and there.

I've never hit a false neutral with my BMW. I have only complained about the ABS being to intrusive and cutting in waaay to early for those brakes that work but I have since fixed that issue by simply asking BMW to sort it out.

Mr Ovisser has ridden my bike a handful of times and he always complains about hitting false neutrals and the gearshifts being wonky but I suppose if you used to a bike that doesn't have a quick downshift then it would feel wonkey xD

I still want to get me one of these for screwing around on.
Much cheaper to fix damages caused by stupid compared to my current bike

In my case it was probably caused by going from a bike without quick upshift to one with a quickshifter, so much of a much-ness

lol
