Anybody tried the checkers gaming monitor ?

anyone played around with the settings , do the colours still look a little washed out ? I know fiddling with monitor settings can actually make a big difference in most cases

Enabled HDR and is disabled the monitor settings so changed mine on my control panel. Adjusted "whiteness" on the settigns tab in windows.

Ran a few HDR videos on youtube and it looks alright to me. But i am a peasant so no idea if its "good"

I'm really impressed with this monitor, I tweaked the colors a little bit, not even much, didn't even play around with gamma/brightness, just touched Red, Green, Blue on the OSD.

I would've bought this instead of my AOC 24G1 144hz (which is in the background) purely because of the amount of value you get at this price point if I could go back in time :p.

I've got FreeSync enabled (using DP cable) not sure how to 100% test it though, enabling and disabling has got little minor stutter changes, so I guess it works.

Definitely 144hz, no doubt. 100% R2k well spent.

Just a note, the stand is pure garbage, it's made of metal, but really not sturdy at all, quite a bit of side wobble, otherwise, really can't complain.

I need one for my sons. PS4 , so is it confirmed sale ends 7th June.

I got one from Centurion Mall Checkers. They had plenty left. :)

Ok guys! I just bought one of these monitors😂 its fricking amazing guys. 144Hz works with no issues however HDR is utterly useless and looks bad. But fir R2000 I wouldn't complain

They only have one 27" left... I know because I went back to get a second one.

Yes I think I only saw 1 not sure but 24" there were plenty. I bought the 24"

Agreed. Don't buy this monitor if you want super high quality HDR because it's going to disappoint.

This is a budget monitor that can do 144Hz and that is pretty decent deal at R1999.

It has a 1 year warranty

Checkers Hyper N1 City has a couple 24 and 27 in stock. And both monitor arms who those that were looking.

Would've hopped in this so fast if I didn't get my replacement for my LG 34" a few weeks back :LOL:

I'm tempted. Currently using a 24" Samsung curved (60/72hz) panel.

Should I???? Lol - you guys are my voice of reason here.

My friend got the 27" version, and Wow! It has a very similar borderless screen like the Dell monitors. Looks clean. If you can I'd honestly save up (I'm using a Samsung CRG50) and the colour are slightly washed out but it's very awesome for 144Hz at R2000 also note the box says 75Hz which I think checkers dont know what they're selling

Don't spend if you don't have too. You already have a good quality monitor there.

I swapped my 19" dell for this and must say the dell probably had the edge over this screen in terms of saturation if that is even a thing I have no idea for me a monitor is a monitor don't really mind anything so won't know bad from good.

Checkers Centurion Mall had 2 on display but they weren't on maybe see if you can view it first before buying?
