The perpetual mouse thread

If only Roccat could learn to invert their Kone shape. Then it would be like my Stinger and amazing++

No realiability issues yet with either of my two Roccats so I feel safe taking a chance on another.

Is Roccat support back in SA?
Best mouse I have used ever was the Roccat Kone XTD

Roccat has pulled out of sa , I love my cm master mouse s but willing to try new ones as when the first hype of finalmouse started a couple of months ago it was simply amazing to watch

There many here who are avid gamers
Hearing their journeys makez me smile
Unfortunately not :(

Thankfully there's import options. My gray Kone Aimo is already imported since SA only had black and white.

Roccat IS available in South Africa....

For me shape and cable drag plays a HUGE part. currently i have the logitech G305 white and a glossy white model O.
I am keen to try the new model O- and the CoolerMaster MM710 white version as the shape of the model O isnt great but the weight makes up for it and the g305 is 90% there in terms of shape. weight is less of an issue for me as i dont have any shoulder/wrist injuries and can adapt accordingly. that being said IMO the model O seems like the perfect weight for me.

Why are there all these mouse threads, but 0 mouse pad and mouse bungee threads?

What do you mean? It has the same support as any other brand as a local distributor brings into the country.
When I took my Kone in to be repaired a few years back, the gent told me that Roccat itself will not have any support in SA. I guess people/companies can still decide to bring it in if they wish.
It might have changed since then as I see even Takealot has Roccat, and as you said they should surely have support through Roccat itself

Siltech was saying that local distributor stopped? It's the reason why there's no Vulcan keyboards or stock replenishment of the Kone Aimo.

That was probably when Blu Catz fucked up the brand in SA. I remember the owner being banned for scamming on Carbonite as well.

You can consider them included here so discuss away if you want. Personally I consider there to be less to discuss on that that topic though. I mean there's like 8 Bungees which are all copies of the Razer Bungee, or whoever was first. This even includes Glorious.

Even though there is not a huge variety, you still get people that do nto believe in the power of a bungee. One of the best purchases I have made for my rig. Take my Mouse, my KB, headies, everything. Just leave my bungee and I will be able to play just fine

Who name a sock Vulcan? What makes it so special? Do they come in pairs? Are they used for feet? So many questions

A keyboard made by Roccat (see Siltech's post), not a sock maker.

Really so why havent I received roccat vulcan aimo 120 keyboards for past 7 months and counting ?? Do you want me to send you call records it can be done nigga please

Lolz.

Coz you not asking the right people :p :p

Why no MMO mice? Any new ones coming out with the usual 12 buttons on the side?

Lots to catch up on here...

I have always been a heavy handed user. So I used to choose heavier and studier woman, erm mice.

Recently I tried some cheapo, super light and flimsy Gigabyte mouse and fell in love. I then purchased a G502 and couldn't have been happier.I added some of the included weights and the weight and comfort is now perfect for those flicks and one taps.

This is obviously one of those threads where most things we say are extremely subjective...

My belief is that there is a point where a lighter mouse adds nothing to the equation, except for a number on paper. For example, I would wager that most people would not be able to tell the difference between something that weights 60g vs 72g. The difference is too small to be discernible. Near impossible without an A/B test. That metric is way too small to crown an 'improvement'.

What factors should we use in the 'perfect mouse equation'?

Comfort/Weight/Functionality/Cost ?

A question to those of you own the mouses with holes in them, are you not concerned with bacteria and cleaning?

Seems like a breeding ground for bacteria and rather tricky to clean properly. My main push factor at the moment.

100% in agreement. Makes any wired mouse feel like a wireless one. It feels so restrictive and annoying when I need to do something at a PC without a bungee. Yuck.

I'm so confused by this.
Who would you contact in ZA to get your hands on a Vulcan? No one has stock, no one is willing to bring stock in. Only way to get it at the moment is to import it yourself. RiP R4k. (Not that the board is worth even CLOSE to that amount.)

Closest thing I know, well a mouse that released with more than the usual 2 but still far shy of 12, is the Cooler Master MM830 with it's 4 side buttons.

And Lightspeed G502 also packs some extra buttons, but again not many.

No it seems little love for you guys at the moment.

The Corsair Scimitar and Razer Naga Trinity (V3) is basically as good as it gets for you.
