It ships from China in that box... Gets tossed around and and and and and.. It will be fine traveling a few thousand Km's via air.

I've received 3 monitors with shipping from JHB to DBN and they were all fine, not even a hint of the box being shoved bit hard.
The one monitor was a partial trade and the guy who got mine in return was also happy.
If one doesn't have the original packaging it probably is quite risky but but you're dealing with original packaging and a trusted member I see little reason why anything should go wrong with a well-known courier.
