Support Tapatalk is it gone for good

Hi, Mods if this is the wrong place to ask then please move?

With the new website I see that Tapatalk is dropped, is there any chance of appealing that decision? While tapatalk is not perfect I personally find it great as it keeps all my forums in once and all with the same look and feel. For me it is a lot faster to quickly check each forum I subvscribe to oin my phone as opposed to opening a browser and switching from one to another.

This is me asking if there is any chance we can still have tapatalk support even if it is not officially supported.

I'd like Tapatalk for notifications and ease of use. Mobile forum sites are not as responsive as an app and just feel more clunky. Also agree with the op.

Been trying the whole day to log into tapatalk. Now I'm on my phone on the new Carbonite site. Looks good but I like the notifications from the app. Make tapatalk work please.

Really going to miss the notifications and not having to login on my mobile everytime. This sucks. But the new site does look really nice

Really need Tapatalk (or equivalent) for notifications.

It doesn't make sense to remove Tapatalk support without providing a platform to notify users when replies are received or updates are made to subscribed threads/forums.

We will look into the amount of users requesting tapatalk and then decide if we will support it going forward. Our main goal is to provide the best experience for our users.

However, please try out the mobile version of the site first

I have tried the mobile version - while it does look nice as I said it is now a website I need to go to on my browser, I cant just hit my tapatalk app and select unread, and then once I have finished with that jump to the next forum in tapatalk.

As nice as the mobile version is, it still represents a separate tab in a browser for me. For all it's nuisances tapatalk is just way easier for me to check the forum on. If I want to write a long reply I will then jump onto the computer and browse to here.

If so can we be given the reason and hopefully resolve this ?
I relied on tapatalk for this and other forums and if tapatalk isn’t supported I’m not sure how often I will visit the site.
I use it everyday on my phone and is really a major assistant to monitoring and using the site

Definitely need tapatalk back. Been trying all day to log in. I only use my browser during the week when I'm at my office desk. Weekends my laptop hardly comes out of its bag. I don't do forums on my mobile browser..... Well except for this post lol

Same. Using the browser on any mobile phone for forums is just a pita.

Another voice for bringing back Tapatalk. The new site looks good but is way too busy for a mobile phone user. Nothing can beat Tapatalk in that department. I can quickly hit up a few forums between meetings or on the run. I won’t be able to use Carb anymore like I used to.

I also have been checking my Tapatalk quite often yesterday and today. The Tapatalk Chat function that i hate had a few messages, and someone tipped me off to try the mobi site.
I also prefer Tapatalk for notifications and other forum addictions, but wont mind an exclusive Carbonite App.

New site looks good but will prefer a smaller font, will see for the correct thread to mention it in.

The new website is amazing. The only thing I miss about Tapatalk is getting notifications about a TV, or cell phone or something so I can buy the product at the right price the moment it is posted for sale.

Same - here it says incorrect login details and then after trying a couple times I am even locked out on the website.

Well, tapatalk doesn't allow you to see information that is handy towards users like feedback score, signatures, and other stuff. And then from our side we get no benefit from advertising with the people that use it and we rely on these small streams to keep the site going. I'll keep tapatalk up for the time being as I understand the notifications thing is important, but i'll be keeping an eye out for solutions that would still give users the ability to get notifications from the site without having to always be on. When that happens I'll probably kill tapatalk but if you have notifications then I'm pretty sure you won't miss it.

The main reason I use Tapatalk is because I can browse multiple forums throughout the day with minimal data use. Avatars, signature pics and all that useless data usage is reduced drastically. Is the mobile site capable of stripping out useless data hogging images? I'd prefer if Tapatalk could integrate with iTrader but can see why that isn't happening. Willing to move to mobile site if it is a proper competitor.

Hey ian_stagib I dont really understand your reply - there are a lot of people here who said that tapatalk supplies more than just notifications, primarily the all in one location for all forums.

If there is some revenue stream that is lost when tapatalk is used then I completely understand, but from your answer I dont really get that, just the fact that signatures and feedback are not shown.
I personally switch my my PC to see that sort of thing, tapatalk is for on the go checking out of the forum, using a browser in my opinion is too heavy and too many clicks For me when trying to do a quick check between events at work a browser is just too much.

I cant see myself using this forum all that much without tapatalk, I realise that my contributions are probably small and I wont be missed but there are probably a lot more like me. It just means less audience for the users here to sell to, which seems to me to be defeating the purpose of the forum in the first place.

2) I did say that tapatalk takes revenue streams from us

3) if tapatalk provided me some way of allowing it only for vip groups then I would be more inclined to want to use them

How did you get it working? For me it keeps on telling me incorrect username/password. I even tried changing my password on the website but still refuses to login. Are you using your username or email address?

I just got a thread notification from Tapatalk and saw it was working. Didn't have to sign in again at all.
