I contacted the seller on Tuesday, 14 May 2019. I first saw his ad on facebook but then also saw he had it posted here on carb and requested that we do the deal via carbonite because it's a safer platform. He had his combo of an i7 2600 + gigabyte h61m + 8 gb ram listed for R2000 including shipping and some other extras he was including "free" he also listed a Raidmax PSU which he could add to the bundle for an extra R800. I offered him R1500 for the main combo to which he agreed and said that the psu will not be included to which I had no problem with since I never thought the psu was part of the main combo anyway. I then transferred R1500 into his account on 15 May 2019 it immediately cleared since we both have Capitec accounts, he messaged me shortly afterwards to say he received payment but then asks me to cover shipping since it was only included if the combo sold for R2000. I agreed and he suggested using postnet and I had no problem with that, at 11:47am today 16 May 2019 he sends a message to inform me that he will be heading to postnet within 1 hour. He then reminded me that I need to cover shipping so I transferred R100 immediately to his account. He acknowledged that he received payment at 12:32pm and says he will let me know as soon as it is done at postnet. I then received a message from him at 15:21 pm saying that he has bad news and that he is pulling out of the sale since a friend offered him R2000 for the combo and that he is in a financial situation so needs the R500 (In his original ad he lists the reason for sale as he does not want to game any more and needs to get rid of the temptation). I sent him my banking details and he refunded my money.I don't know if this is a one off thing or if he does it often but where I grew up we were taught to honour your word which Gunner3047 did not do, I advise caution when doing long distance deals with him.
