Can anyone guide me on how to undervolt the Ryzen 7 5800X3D on the Asrock X370 Taichi?

I'm still running all stock.

Thanks:)

You will have to play around with the PBO settings that your asrock has to offer. If any? I have no clue how configurable the x370 platform is.
My 5900x on x570 chipset is currently running lowered manual PPT, TDC,EDC limits.
And my Curve Optimizer is on All Core, -25
Could not be bothered to find the absolute sweet spot for all 12 individual core settings 😅 So the global -25 was a quick win for me.
Would suggest looking for those limits on the x3d and start tweaking.

My 2c - upgrade your mobo/chipset. You'll have to get a board with a decent VRM and subsequent cooling if you want to go the other way.. As you are wanting to undervolt, you could lessen the importance of said quality VRM and cooling.

On msi just activate kombo strike 3 lol, other than that this is my last AMD system to be honest. I'll go for a stock Arrow lake when they launch. Probably 15700k or whatever.

Occasionally I have to reinstall the chipset drivers because my SeX controllers randomly stop working 1 at a time. After installing chipset drivers it's sharp again for a few months.

Never get a blue screen or anything so other than that the system is good, but generally my intel systems never gave a single weird issue ever. Every AMD system so far had one or another weird glitch

Bit of a late post but if you haven't come right this should hopefully help.

Short answer is this below link should work without issue. I tried this before I realised MSI allowed it via BIOS still. The support is very iffy across different mobo vendors because AMD technically doesn't support it as part of the base spec of the CPU. This is done in windows and takes a bit to get set up but it works consistently and is a sort of set and forget thing as its all automated once you get it up and running the first time

I don't think I've ever seen a 5800X3D that doesn't support a -30 offset across the board but your mileage may vary, I'd say you can definitely start at -20 though and work your way down to -30 from there

I have a 5800x3d with x570 msi board running kombostrike 3 on cinebench and aida 64 everything runs stable but as soon as i start gaming call of duty or Tarkov it will be unstable crashes to desktop at random so just reverted back to stock and left it at that as you can play for more than an hour an then it starts acting up at random. There is also a PBO tunner on Github running from windows

Mine hasn't crashed once since I got this board, that's like a year ago. And I'm a heavy gamer lol

its a x3d... just gooi curve optimisor and call it a day. Make sure ur voltage and stuff is not damaging the chip and thats all. I legit only had to set curve optimisor rest was fine and also on a x3d you dont evens needa do that can just jolit stock

did a Curve Optimizer on All Core, -30 based on what was already pre filled on there, ran for like 1hour to 1hour 40 minutes 5800x temps and performance never been more stable, haven't even bothered to min/max the settings yet. mobo is an Asus Rog strix x570-F

I’m pretty good with oc, and I could not match kombo strike 3 with curve optimizer. Even at -30 the temps were still better with kombo strike.

Not sure what kind of curve MSI used there but it’s literally the best of both worlds (runs lower temps than stock even)
