So, just a quick rundown of what's available:
It's the 4K VR Headset with the Pimax Motion controllers that shipped with the headset from the Pimax folks overseas. This is not the NOLO bundle but rather a bundled motion controller set from Pimax themselves.
If I'm being frank, this is absolutely the best visual quality VR experience I've had. Visuals are crisp and the resolution is simply stunning with absolutely zero SDE (Screen door Effect). I've never been prone to motion sickness on any VR technologies so I cann't speak to how susceptible one might be to motion sickness using this gear. I've noticed it's all down to the individual.
Using Revive, all games from VIVE and RIFT work perfectly. And of course all STEAM VR games work as expected. Within the headset, the controllers take on the HTC Vive look and feel. For a pure visual experience this beats the VIVE and RIFT hands down, theres actually no comparison when it comes to resolution, crispness and pure lack of the screen door effect. From a bang for buck perspective, theres simply nothing else in the market that can offer anything near this sort of VR experience.
The motion controllers and the head sensor are neon purple and neon blue respectively. Lights up like the PS Move sort of controllers. Looks really awesome
Currently running it on a laptop with a GTX 1060 6GB but going on the specs the barrier to VR entry is lower on the PIMAX, from what I've read it will run on certain GTX 9 series cards without that silly VR READY badge
Additional note : There is quite a massive following and thus a massive online repository with a wealth of knowledge on the PIMAX. Also, new PIMAX specific software updates are released all the time.
