Need solar in my shed

Gents I need some help

I want something to monitor the power usage of my parents house for the next 2/3 months.

Just to judge what inverter and battery should be enough and what amount of panels to try and cover most of their usage.

SO I'm hoping what i have in my head actually exists, some small device shaped like a CT to clip around the mains incoming above the breaker in the db that can then hopefully transmit some basic data to a phone or sd card onboard

??? Anything like that even exist ?
not sure about the device but regarding solar:
5kva inverter is nice baseline could leave non essential stuff to grid like geyser dryer and stove( Can always connect in parallel and get 10 kva with 2 inverters)
currently have 2000w array giving 9.5 kwh on sunny day like today in Pretoria( Check inverter mppt limit )
Batteries 5 kwh would last 4 hours load shedding if you don't have anything big running. 10 kwh could probably last you the entire night.

feeding back into grid not really worth it.
