Lando and Sergio make Max's life difficult ( street circuit)

Le clerq shows promise to only end up off the podium again.

Good performance by Carlos again ( but don't know where he'll end up )

Whole weekend is overshadowed by the News of Newey
What about peewey , who do you think scoops him up ?

Ferrari , he's said he would be very disappointed to end his career and never work there.

He's also said he would like to work with Lewis at a point and I think he's got more than enough money to not care about blank checks

It's like game of thrones all over , we are more concerned about the drama instead of the racing 😛
If racing is what you want: watch MotoGP
If its theatre & drama (read: soapie): watch F1

And the latest gossip is that his wife has been looking at property in Maranello ;)

Personally I'd love to see him chill out and go back Williams if he still feels the urge to carry on designing cars.

For real you're right, for the first time i was watching MotoGP the other day and so MANY overtakes and action, feels like you something i have to watch alone in the dark with lotion

He has some underlying issues with Aston Martin from what he said in a podcast regarding the Valkyrie. Greatly doubt the man will want to go back to being annoyed😅 But Ferrari is also a tough one. The culture there is a bit different to RB where you don't get full control and outshine the team. Maybe with Vasseur running the team plus Elkann's influence things could have changed.

I was under the impression that Ferrari would be rank outsider as they are courting Pierre Wache (current Technical Director).

Would also love to see him back at Williams. Or retire........but to see Lulu race a Newey car is something I hope never happens.

Now that was a race.

That casual F-bomb during the interviews :ROFLMAO:
Was great xD Finally for Lando, man's drove really well and yea shit was blady time he got it & got a car with good upgrades under him.

Lando had a great race. No mistakes. Fun fact. He need 4 more wins to equal Charles's F1 wins.

Almost skipped the race as I thought Max would just run away with it again... glad I didn't. Very happy for Lando, with his luck I was kinda expecting something to go wrong for him but luckily it didn't. Lets not forget the safety car is the reason he won, if it wasn't for that I have no doubt he would have been second at best. Max didn't have the pace to chase him down in the end which is what excites me, it means there is a possibility of some closer racing going forward. Once Piastri gets all the upgrades as well it could add another possible contender. Ferrari's weren't too bad either.

If Max didn't have the pace to chase him down, don't you think Lando would have had a good chance of beating Max even without the lucky safety car? Lando was lapping 3 or so tenths faster than Max before the SC came out, despite Max being on new hards vs. Lando on old mediums. Lando was lapping faster than Max for the majority of the race. Even Oscar was beating Max's lap times fairly regularly.

Max had a hole in the floor and other floor damage from that incident with the bollard. His pace wasn't reflective of their actual relative pace, just a bad weekend for Red Bull and a great weekend for McLaren. I think McLaren are a lot closer, but I don't expect this to repeat at the next race, I doubt McLaren have closed the gap that much.

Ah, I didn't see the news about the floor damage, last I saw Max was still saying he didn't feel any difference after hitting the bollard.

Still, to say Lando won just because of the lucky safety car, for me that detracts from his performance, which was obviously brilliant on the day.

But yeah it's too early to hope that McLaren will provide a consistent challenge to Red Bull for the rest of the season.

Sure Lando got lucky with the safety car but that's racing, still a win. Plenty of drivers have won from a lucky safety car or the retirement of a car ahead. Lando did really well to cope with the pressure.

Still don't think anyone can really challenge Max when RB gets the setup right with no damage, especially on non-street circuits where track evolution is more predictable.

I wonder if Redbull had the steering issue again and just weren't saying it on the radio

Cause normally he'd hunt Lando down in half a lap but the first couple of ones after the SC he was barely hanging on and when i accepted it he fell back like a rock.

I'd be very happy if I'm wrong but I think there's an issue redbull weren't letting out

Max had a hole in his floor after hitting the bollard. But they also just lacked pace all weekend, couldn't get the setup working for whatever reason. I'm sure they'll be back next race with a rocket.

Okay shit I somehow missed the floor damage 😅

In the opening stint Lando chased down Perez but was unable to pass him, even with DRS the McLaren didn't have the straight line speed to pass the RB. That's why I don't think he would have been able to pass Max. He would have had to pass the two Ferrari's as well and probably Piastri too. Then again he would have had much fresher tires at the end so who knows?

PS: I didn't know about Max's floor damage, so that could also have played a roll. Bottom line we will never know, happy for Lando.
