Hi guys

This is a long shot but thought I'd try.

I have a pair of ultrasone headphones that are broken. They're handmade in Germany and can only be repaired there.

To courier them alone costs R4k so it's not worth paying to ship them over, especially since they might not even be repairable.

I thought I'd ask if any carboniters are going to Germany and wouldn't mind taking my headphones with them and dropping them off at Ultrasone. I'd be happy to pay a small fee for your trouble.

If they are repairable then it's worth doing cos they're worth about R7k.

Just thought I'd take a shot in the dark and see if there's anyone keen :)

Thank you

R4k doesn't sounds right. @ScottulusMaximus maybe you have some insight?

Whereabouts in Germany? Not that I'm going, but dropping off at the other side of the country may not be convenient. Maybe someone can ship them locally there for you once they are in the country? Then maybe there's a way to use AGS to get them back?

Will definitely be less than 4k.

thank, you so much for taking time to respond :)
My apologies, I checked now in my old emails and the price was R1766. But that is one way, so it would total to R3.5k, and this excluding customs fees.

This was quoted to me by marshall music where I bought the headphones, so they may still be overcharging. I'm getting some confusing rates when using calculators online. DHL quoted me R6k, but EMS quoted me R400.

Do you know any couriers you can recommend that are trustworthy and cheap? If it's around R400 then I can definitely send it one-way and see if it can get repaired

Thank you so much

sorry I didn't see this message before I wrote my other one asking for recommended couriers. I got quoted around R800 which is decent.

Going to keep this post open as currently money is tight so if I can save on couriering it'll help to have someone take it with them. If I knew they were repairable I'd be able to justify spending on courier but I have no idea whether the headphones will be able to be repaired or not.

Thank you both for your answers and time

What headphones are they? (If I may ask)
