Here is my dilemma.

I have a Xbox Series X which has a HDMI 2.1 port and is capable of 4k @120hz.

I have a monitor capable of 4k 120hz, however it only has 1x HMDI 2.0 port and 1x Display Port 1.4 port.

The displayport 1.4 is capable of the bandwidth required to run 4k 120hz, but because the Xbox only has a HDMI 2.1 port and my monitors HDMI port is 2.0 I will need to get an active HDMI to Display Port adapater that is capable of 4k 120hz.

I did read on Reddit that by using either a HDMI - Display Port ACTIVE cable can I achieve this or I need to purchase an adapter.

After a lot of research (and failing to source the cable overseas as the supplier dont want to ship here) I was able to find an adaptor with two resellers in SA:

My questions is this, does anyone here have experience with these adaptors by connecting it from your Xbox to your monitor to achieve 4k 120hz?

Hey so do you have to have 4k 120hz? because for most games you will mostly be at 60fps at 4k.
I recommend just using the hdmi 2.0 on the monitor and play at 4k 60Hz or if you monitor supports it, 1440p 120hz or 1080p 120Hz.
