So, the card has slight coil whine, only audible with case open and if you listen closer to the card - This does not affect performance as per attached benchmarks and not noticeable when running system/playing game, etc.
Unfortunately this is a common nag which only requires your endurance/tolerance.
Just for those weary of it, a few google searches will set your mind at ease;

Replaced card, so warranty applicable on the new/replaced one, hence the price.
